Using Narrative in Photography (Zoom)
Using Narrative in Photography
Monday 18 May, 7.30pm - 10.15pm. £35/person.
USING NARRATIVE in PHOTOGRAPHY will take a broad look at the art of storytelling. From single images to sequences and series, photographs with meaning that evoke emotions and convey a message. We will look at many techniques, tips and ideas while examining how elements like lighting, colour, context and simple body language can alter the tone and meaning of a photograph.
We will also focus on emotions, how they feature in our work, how they translate visually and how photographers can use and manipulate them in their storytelling, from documentary to photojournalism, street to reportage.
Simple tasks will be given during the evenings workshop and an informal Zoom review of participants photographs will follow 4-5 weeks later. If you are unable to attend the review date a recording will be available to view. There will be a maximum of 10 people attending at a cost of £35 per person.
