Black and White Urban Photography

Monday 26th January, 7.30pm - 10.15pm. £35/person.

BLACK and WHITE URBAN PHOTOGRAPHY is both an art and a different way of seeing the world. It can be stylish, dynamic and timeless, plus it can tap into our emotions.

Whilst covering the basics, BLACK IS A COLOUR will look at its drama, its imperfections, how it plays with our senses and how we manipulate light while shooting it, plus simply discover the magic of using the colour black.

How to shoot and convert colour to get rich velvety blacks. How to understand contrast lighting and what colours and colour combinations work and what look awful? How to visualise a great black and white image without looking at your camera? BLACK IS A COLOUR is a comprehensive ground-up, idea-driven digital workshop that will help answer these, and many other important questions, helping you become more instinctive and take imaginative and breathtaking black and white photographs.

Simple tasks will be given during the evenings workshop and an informal Zoom review of participants photographs will follow 4-5 weeks later. If you are unable to attend the review date a recording will be available to view. There will be a maximum of 10 people attending at a cost of £35 per person.
